Freefall (Custom Culture #1) by Tess Oliver 1/5

Freefall (Custom Culture #1) by Tess Oliver

Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 8

This was one of the slowest stories I've ever read. It felt like nothing was actually happening during the entire story. The author focused alot on how much the main characters were attracted to each other, and very little on the actual characters.

The story was not a believable one. I did not feel as though Nix and Scotland's relationship would last all that long in reality. It just didn't ring true to me.

I believe this one was free to see if you would purchase the other stories in the Custom Culture set. She lost me with this one. (Even though Clutch kind of caught my interest)

Thats another thing! I was more interested in reading about the supporting characters that the main ones. And what Clutch was eating! Those fish tacos sounded yummy!

That can't be good...

Falling For Autumn by Heather Topham Wood

Falling For Autumn by Heather Topham Wood

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 7

This book was waaaaaaaaayyyy too slow man! It felt like I was watching a snail cross the street. Or maybe the book was just too long.

I didn't see the 'climax' of the book coming though. Maybe I was just too bored to see it. I just didn't connect with the main characters at all. And I did not completely believe that Autumn and whats his name are the real thing.

Didn't enjoy this one at all. The cover is beautiful though.

Breaking Away (Assassins Series) by Toni Aleo

Breaking Away (Assassins Series) by Toni Aleo

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 9

I liked this book a lot. It felt kind of honest and refreshing somehow. I loved how the author made the characters real ones, flaws and all. And I ALWAYS love reading about athletes. Especially football and hockey athletes.

It was touching watching the maturity and growth in the main character's relationships. Especially between Phillip and his niece. The book is extremely steamy. I expected it though, but I did find myself glossing over a couple sexual encounters. Got tired reading so many after a while.

I found myself researching football teams after reading this book. (I bet you will too! ;)
I'm also tempted to get the other books in the series. We'll see...

Crush by Lacy Weatherford

Crush by Lacy Weatherford

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 6

My only problem with this story is how extremely predictable it is. Mind you, I find most YA romances pretty predictable these days. So I'm not exactly sure why this one bothers me so much. From the first chapter I knew exactly what was going on. Crush was not marketed as a suspense novel, but still!

It was okay. It kept me mildly entertained. I kind of couldn't stand the heroine throughout the story though. Too perfect...ish.

If I could do it all over again I wouldn't read it. But the cover made me buy it though. The model for that cover needs to stay hidden in whatever cave he is in to avoid sexual harassment by the female population. Cutie alert!

Its free....so if you want to...go for it. But! You were warned!

The Trouble With Goodbye by Sarra Cannon 3.5/5

The Trouble with Goodbye by Sarra Cannon

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 7

This one was alright. It had a very predictable plot, but I enjoy serious books. And this one touched on the effects and repercussions of rape.

The supporting characters did not help the story at all to me. It might have been a better read if the author focused more on the hero and heroine and their immediately families.

The story is not captivating, and did have a handful of typos (which don't bother me all that much surprisingly).

It's a free one for now though. So what the heck?

Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey 4/5

Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 9

This was a good one. I haven't laughed so much in a book in a long time.

It was refreshing to read about such a strong female heroine. And it was a double treat to have a story set in the world of professional soccer. The fact that I have never read about a professional athlete couple before recently attracted me to the book. It did not disappoint.

Grey really did a great job making the book interested. I finished it in one sitting quite greedily actually. The chemistry was great and steamy. I enjoyed the differences in personalities of the main characters and the supporting ones.

The author touched on the chaos of the paparazzi, which is timely. Sadly enough, this fascination with documenting every move of a human's life is getting out of hand. It is very strange to me.

Don't get me wrong, people from my country have favorite tv stars and music artists. But we are too cocky to think they are in any way better than us, or are more interesting than us. Yup, we're kind of disgustin' in that regard. ;)

Try this one out. Its free for now.
