Reclaiming The Sand by A. Meredith Walters 4.5/5

Reclaiming the Sand by A. Meredith Walters

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 8

This one had me on an emotional roller-coaster. One second I'm smiling, , next I'm pissed off, next I'm crying and next I'm at the edge of my seat.

If you are not comfortable reading about mental disorders, then leave this one on the shelf. I find the drastic differences in human interaction fascinating personally. This book will honestly bring tears to your eyes though.

You can only pray that your child will never go through the mess that the hero and heroine experienced. What made me cry is that children and adults are more than likely experiencing the abuse that sometimes goes hand in hand with ignorance and fear.

Reading this book felt like inhaling a breath of fresh air. I can't even explain why I enjoyed it so much. It is by far NOT an easy read, but a completely riveting one.

The chemistry between the main characters is beautiful. This book gave me hope for human kind.

I feel absolutely no buyers remorse after reading this one. The issues highlighted in this story can open so many relevant and stimulating discussions. It get's you thinking... I hope you read this book with a reading partner that enjoys discussions afterwards.

4.5/5

Broken and Screwed by Tijan

Broken and Screwed by Tijan

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 6

This book read so strangely. It felt like a second  point of view to another story. But I do not think that this particular story line was written before by this author.

The story did not have much depth at all. No conflict. Not much of anything going on really. Just two extremely moody, hurting and horny  teenagers, attempting to cope with a tragedy.

The story line has been done a million times to date. After you've read this book, the message behind it that the author unknowingly is spreading might bother you too.

You can let a handsome, crazily popular male use you and spit you out afterwards if you love him. He may not have to give a rat's a** about you, but you love him. And after all that heart ache, maybe, just maybe he will actually realize he loves you in the end. (And never apologize for his bad treatment!) Get real! I hope the young kids reading books like these know it should not happen this way in the real world.
