Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken 1/5

Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 7

A preteen or teenager would absolutely love this book. The scattered thought processes, speech and impulsiveness of the heroine would seem to some readers to be adorable I believe. It was kind of irritating to me.

Alas! I am a adult.
I ended up hearing the sound of Kiersten's voice in my head-and it wasn't a nice one. The plot was a bit transparent and the book could have done well without the supporting characters.

If you could borrow it, give it a shot. But it will probably be a bit of a disappointment to you.

Rush Too Far by Abbi Glines 4/5

Rush Too Far by Abbi Glines

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 9.5

This one was a good read. The main characters had amazing chemistry. This book was written from the hero's point of view, which was interesting. Not a he said, she said scenario which can be tiring sometimes.

The plot and conflict is not the ultimate best. Especially if you know the plot from the previous book, Fallen Too Far (the heroines point of view). But I did enjoy how the author lets us see into his head during particular scenes. I prefer the hero's point of view actually.

I liked it.

Shattered Promises by Jessica Sorensen 1/5

Shattered Promises by Jessica Sorensen

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 7

This book is a paranormal fiction that really confused me. I am not sure if this was the author's first book in that genre. It was not an easy read by far. It felt like the author was throwing around information about the 'demons' and other beings involved in the story.

I did not actually believe in the relationship between the hero and heroine. Maybe it wasn't really about that for the author.

I usually enjoy paranormal fiction. This story seemed disjointed though. I am sure that this review does not really explain why I did not enjoy this book. But I didn't none the less.

The Hook Up (Game On Book 1) by Kristin Callihan 4.5 /5

The Hook Up (Game on Book 1) by Kristin Callihan

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 9

This is my kind of book. I just love me some football in a novel! Either the author is a football enthusiast or she did her research. Because she painted some vivid scenes in this story. It actually brought tears to my eyes and got genuine smiles from me at some points. I was into it until the very end and enjoyed every minute of it. Came home from work and kept at it until I was done today actually. I couldn't wait to share the good news.

The characters were all great. And I looked forward to reading about the supporting characters. Anna and Drew felt like the real deal. Honest characters with honest issues. The chemistry between these two was off the charts too. Even though these YA books have predictable endings these days, I love seeing how each author gets there.

I can't wait to read about the other characters. Especially since they will be out of college at that point. Should be interesting. The "Bear" has me intrigued especially. (When you read about him, you'll see what I mean.)

This book reminded me that many of these athletes in professional sports, like football, have a genuine love and passion for the game. It was refreshing to read about it.

This one will not disappoint.

Know Me (Motorcycle Club Series) by Cora Brent 2/5

Know Me (Motorcycle Club Series) By Cora Brent

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 9.5

These motorcycle club books are painting a really gritty picture. I wonder how the real life club members would react to these books. Does this stuff really happen? Or are these fiction books based on absolutely no truth at all?

They say that curiosity killed the cat.

Anyways... The book was okay. Nothing to run home about. It was a short read, that may be why I didn't enjoy it too much. Not much was going on in the story to begin with. I guess the author could not go too deep for a 100 page book. The age gap between the characters may freak you out too. He changed her diapers at some point in her life for Christ sake!

I personally do not enjoy books about motorcycle clubs all that much because the heroes and heroines come off as dumb. This book held true to this rule. The women sit around and wait to have sex with the men. I enjoy my macho male characters, but it gets to be a bit much in these motorcycle club books.

If you could find this one for free, then go for it. It is only 99 cents I believe..BUT STILL!
