Alex (Cold Fury Hockey) by Sawyer Bennett 3/5

Alex (Cold Fury Hockey) by Sawyer Bennett

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 8.5

This one was an okay read. It being a book about a sport of course caught my attention. Its amazing that I do not watch football or hockey (find it quite boring actually), but I love reading about it.

I did feel like the story could have ended halfway through the book. The author focused on the hero's problems quite a bit. Somehow, it feels as if the heroine was neglected. The author took her time writing the steamy moments. But it felt like we didn't get into the characters' heads at all.

I finished it. That says alot these days. But on the other hand, that isn't saying much either.

Maybe borrow this one?

When You Dare by Lori Foster 2/5

When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor #1) by Lori Foster

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 7.5

Why do I find myself bored reading this book? It has a plot that is not original. (Rescue a woman from the hands of a bad man.) I am wondering if it would have been a better book if Ms. Foster brought the readers through the extraction process?

I am not sure, but the book was so flat. No action. Just a moody man in a huge mansion and a slow thinking and speaking writer.

This one is not a good one.

Sweet Hope (Sweet Home #3) 5/5 by Tillie Cole

Sweet Hope by Tillie Cole

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Sensuality: 9

This one was a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I don’t mind that in books, if it is done right.

The book had an obvious plot, but not an obvious path to getting to the solution. The hero and heroine I found interesting. I am a humble art lover, so found that aspect of the story pretty cool.

Can’t comment too much about the book with out giving it away. But it is emotional and a little raw in regards to human life. It ain’t always easy for all of us.

The other books in the series are good reads. This one for some reason is my favorite though.

Great book.
