I really enjoyed book 2 in this series (Romeo's story), so I hoped that this one was just as enjoyable. It was okay. The issues this story highlights are quite serious, but I am not that drawn to the characters in this book compared to the other book's.

How can I say no to a football YA romance novel though? That's never going to happen my friend.

The hero is painted as a physically beautiful male, with some serious dark baggage. The heroine brings  her just as serious baggage to the table to create one moderately depressing-yet interesting- story.

Try this one out if you can. It will not leave you completely  bored. Just  a little, unfortunately.

I am not sure why these MC books are getting such high ratings. These rating are in a way false advertising for the readers that don't have the patience to check out book reviews. 

The basic plot of this book is interesting...but waaaaaaay too gory. It is not an easy read by far. The story explores child sexual abuse, physical abuse and mental abuse. It's pretty heavy.

With that being said, I do not understand how the heroine could jump so quickly into the sack with the hero after experiencing many years of such abuse. That was not realistic at all. Lots of little things like this was not adding up in the story, and left me puzzled while I read. And the way she spoke! It drove me insane.  I tried to imagine her accent in my head, but I couldn't imagine anyone except someone whose mother tongue is not English speaking in that kind of English. It may irk you too.

This was such a gory book. The author does warn readers though. Most authors with such heavy content gives fair warning. The general reviews and ratings are too high! False advertising. This is apart of a series that I do not feel at all compelled to get into.

And am I the only person wondering what the title of the book is all about? Why Tillie? Why?

I am not sure exactly why  I am still reading these motor cycle club books. It must be the book covers, because I am generally not impressed by them.

Rain Falling was a strange read. I did not enjoy reading the book primarily because of how it was written. It felt like the author's first book ever. I did not understand having all of the chapters in it either. It made the book feel extremely long!

The plot started of interesting, then fizzled out to nothing at all. No real conflict. Just the average stuff that authors write about for MC books. Club whores, club old ladies, going to church! I got so tired reading about these stupid MC terms.

The hero and heroine seemed weak to me. As strong and buff as the hero was painted, he just didn't do it for me. And not because of his personal struggles either. And the heroine's American Indian background is so interesting. I would love to read a book exploring that one day.

In conclusion, I would not buy it. Having a bunch of sex and crude sex talk is not enough to sell books. It feels as if some authors are trying to do this.

I enjoyed this one. Other reviewers mentioned that the only way to describe the hero's point of view is 'raw'. They were exactly right. I could believe that he had the exact thought processes that the author gave him. This book deals with physical abuse, which is never easy to read about. It is pretty depressing at times to be honest, but this s*** happens.

The couple did not have an easy road to happily ever after, which was refreshing for me. The author convinced me that Rome really exists. Him being a football player was an added bonus!

Give it a shot. I couldn't put it down, but I did feel like the author left some situations out. She may have assumed that book #1 was read before, so the reader knows what happened. That is my sole complaint.  It is not a stand alone book. I kind of want to read the heroines point of view now.

Maybe Matt's Miracle (The Reeds Brothers #4) by Tammy Falkner

I enjoyed this one. I am a bit biased though, because I love reading about sibling relationships. But it was fairly enjoyable none the less.

The plot has no twists and turns, and the general plot is predictable. It felt real though. The book didn't focus on Matt's disease, but on the children, and their adjustment after serious tragedy and the heroine's adjustment as well.

I didn't mind that at all. This is not as good as Calmly Carefully Completely. That one was my favorite for the Reed brothers.
